Chalcogenide Optics
IR glasses, built from Se–Te–As chalcogenides, non-crystalline, provide lightweight, broad-spectrum infrared transparency, outperforming heavier crystalline substrates like Germanium and Silicon in many advanced optical applications. At HHVAT, we have successfully developed a durable LWIR AR coating on these substrates that helps enhance the IR transparency while maintaining the robustness of the coated IR glass.
