Tribological Coatings
Tribological coatings are used in applications that are exposed to severe contact forces under which normal thin film coatings would fracture and lose adherence. HHVAT's Tribological coatings have been optimized for good adhesion, chemical resistance, mechanical and optical properties. The coating is a beam splitter with 30% transmittance and 70% reflectance in the visible spectral range. It is used in elastohydrodynamic instruments for the measurement of lubricants viscosity.
